They are from Michigan and are specifically used for hot/cold socks. You can create your own heat pack.
Cherry Pits make an excellent heat/cold pack. These are organic and have NO CHEMICAL use. No fragrance is ever added. They have a sweet earthy scent.

Use in a DIY heating pad bed warmer or cold pack. Cherry pits can be heated in the microwave or placed in the freezer. They have the ability to retain and slowly release moist heat or stay cold for a long period.
